Lowestoft Lions join service to honour fallen war heroes – 100 years since Armistice Day

Two Lowestoft Lions members represented their club at the remembrance parade in their hometown to remember those killed and wounded in conflict, as the nation marked100 years since Armistice Day.

Hundreds gathered at the war memorial on Lowestoft’s Royal Plain to remember those who have given their lives fighting for their country

A bugler sounded the last post and at 11:00am all those in attendance impeccably observed two minutes silence – marking the end of World War One on the eleventh hour of 11 November 1918.

Then along with military, veterans and youth organisations, public service units, civic and community groups Lions Trevor Waters and Phill Wakefield laid a wreath at the war memorial.
