Lions help Santa to meet more Lowestoft Children

Lowestoft Lions Santa’s sleigh has become a familiar annual sight in the weeks before Christmas, parked at supermarkets and shopping centres around town and this year will be no different.

But Santa with the help of Lowestoft Lions has also been visiting a number of children’s Christmas parties in the town with his sack of gifts.

For those who want to meet Santa on his sleigh, complete with reindeer figures, he will be greeting shoppers and listening to children’s Christmas gift wishes at the following stores: –

12-13 Dec – Morrison’s, North Quay

14-15         Dec – Co-op, Ashburnham Way

                           16-17         Dec – B&M, Tower Road

19-21         Dec – Tesco, Leisure Way

                           22-24 Dec – Morrison’s, Gisleham

Lions’ president Michael Cook said, “the sleigh attracts a lot of attention from shoppers and the reaction on their children’s faces is a delight to see. Lowestoft Lions club members are all volunteers and we use monies raised from the sleigh collections to help less fortunate people as well as deserving causes.”
