Lowestoft Lions have cancelled their Easter Egg Trail but have donated the 500 chocolate eggs they have bought to local organisations
Following the latest Government restrictions on travel – advising us all to stay at home where possible and to stay away from other people, Lowestoft Lions have cancelled their annual Easter Trail in Sparrow’s Nest Gardens.
We decided that the most responsible action to comply with the restrictions was to donate the 500 Easter Eggs purchased for event to nine local organisations that assist vulnerable groups. The remaining 210 eggs were given to the food bank. We were able to do this whilst being mindful of the need for social distancing.
We would like to acknowledge Nicholson’s Solicitors for their generous sponsorship and to the outlets that helped by distributing vouchers.
The Lions’ are really disappointed at having to cancel such a popular event and look ahead to Easter 2021, when we hope to see you all once again in Sparrow’s Nest Gardens to enjoy another Easter Egg Trail.
