On Remembrance Sunday Lowestoft Lions President laid a wreath to honour fallen heroes.

Hundreds gathered at the war memorial on Lowestoft’s Royal Plain to remember those who have given their lives fighting for their country and amongst them were representatives of Lowestoft Lions
Despite the elements doing their best to dampen proceedings, the Lions together with members of the community stood firm on Remembrance Sunday to honour the fallen war heroes of days gone by.
At 10.58am the bugler sounded the last post, before all those in attendance impeccably observed two minutes’ silence.

After a short service wreaths were laid around the war memorial including one by Lion President Derek Ward.
Afterwards Mr. Ward said, “ it was a very moving occasion and it was good to see so many members of the public together with community and service organisations paying their respects to those who had lost their lives in wars and conflict.”
